Blakeney to Welcome Top National Retailers

 
Ann Taylor and Victoria’s Secret Among Mix

 

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 6, 2007 – A virtual who’s who of national brands will soon join the already thriving lineup of shops, boutiques and restaurants at Blakeney, south Charlotte’s fast-growing upscale retail destination. New stores coming to the center include national favorites Ann Taylor, Victoria’s Secret, Bath & Body Works and Old Navy.

“We’re pleased to welcome these top tier retailers to Blakeney,” said Ryan Preston, director of leasing for Crosland. “It’s especially exciting as Blakeney is the first South Charlotte shopping center to offer Ann Taylor and Victoria’s Secret in an open-air retail environment, offering the consumer easier access to their desired stores.”  Blakeney continues to build on the success of its retailers by extending the Village Shops at Blakeney with three additional buildings, totaling 35,000 square feet, bringing the total project to 418,401 square feet.  These buildings, to be constructed this fall, will be home to more national and local specialty shops.

Ann Taylor (4,502 square feet) is a premier American specialty apparel retailer for the professional woman, earning a reputation as the top resource for quality suits, separates, dresses, shoes and accessories with a feminine, polished approach to updated classic style.  One of the country’s leading women’s specialty retailers, Ann Taylor will offer the essence of modern classic style, with fashion that is versatile, polished and refined, from work to weekend and day to evening.  The store is scheduled to open Oct. 2.

A leading specialty retailer of women’s intimate apparel, Victoria’s Secret (8,435 square feet) will offer world-famous lingerie and beauty collections as well as full lines of sleepwear and hosiery.  The store will also feature the company’s latest line, Pink, a selection of loungewear and sleepwear geared mainly toward college undergraduates.  Look for the store to open Oct. 25.

Bath & Body Works (3,756 square feet) reinvented the personal care industry by offering fragrant, flavorful indulgences, including shower gels, lotions, candles and accessories.  By combining traditional spa treatments with botanical and natural ingredients, they have developed an extensive collection of advanced, easy-to-use personal care products with proven effectiveness.  Bath & Body Works, scheduled to open Sept. 10, will emphasize themes of nature, health, beauty, and well-being, promoting itself as an apothecary-type shop.  Spa treatments, aromatherapy, and other products with botanical and natural ingredients will line the shelves to brighten customers’ moods and make them feel pampered.

Since its founding in 1994, Old Navy (15,408 square feet) has provided its customers with stylish fashions at amazing prices.  From graphic tees and cargos, to the latest designs and washes in denim, Old Navy will deliver accessible fashion for women, men, kids and baby in a bold, fun shopping environment.  Old Navy will contain specialized sections for infants, boys, girls, men, and women.  Special lines such as maternity and women’s plus sizes are also available.  In addition to clothing, Old Navy will offer a variety of accessories such as shoes, handbags, toys, hats, and sunglasses, along with a line of clothing and toys for dogs.  Old Navy will open Aug. 21.
